In high school Dwight David Eisenhower was nicknamed "Little Ike" to distinguish him from his older brother Edgar, "Big Ike." A year book pole of "Big Ike's" senior class predicted that "Big Ike" would someday be President of the United States. A few years later, a similar poll predicted that "Little Ike" would probably have a career in the military.
